Brendan O’Brien: CEO and Co-founder
Brendan O’Brien is a co-founder of ThinkSmart and oversees all aspects of its strategy, operations and business development.
With almost 20 years experience in sales and business development, prior to founding ThinkSmart Technologies, Brendan was the EMEA North SW Solutions Leader in IBM for eBusiness & middleware products. In the late 90’s he also co-founded a services company, Astutec and led it to a successful takeover by IT Force. Early in his career he was a senior consultant with Accenture.
Brendan has a BSc in Engineering from Trinity College Dublin, a Masters in Management Science and a PhD in Strategic Decision making both from the Graduate School of Business UCD, Dublin.
He has given guest lectures in the UCD Graduate School of Business and on overseas programmes in Singapore and Hong Kong.Dr James Little: CTO and Co-founder
James is the co-founder of ThinkSmart Technologies and as the CTO oversees all aspects of Engineering and helps define and execute all of Thinksmart’s product strategies.
Prior to founding ThinkSmart Technologies James was the lead Investigator and industry liaison with the 4C research institute for over 8 years. Before this James was the technical director with UK Artificial Intelligence company (AI International), as well as working for ILOG as a technical specialist in Constraint Programming early in his career.
James has a BSc in Maths from Aberdeen University, a Masters in Operations Research from Lancaster University and a PhD in Constraint Programming from Brunel University. James has researched and published widely on applying complex optimisation technologies to business problems.
